The Allscripts Clinical Quality Solution (CQS), Powered by TeamPraxis is a powerful, innovative software tool that has the potential to transform a way a physician practices medicine. It does this in 2 ways:

First, the Allscripts CQS completely automates participation in quality data reporting initiatives, (such as PQRI or Medicare HCC), for physicians who document relevant information within TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR). Thus, physicians can participate and earn financial rewards automatically, by recording information within their EHR.

Second, the Allscripts CQS uses the information physicians document in TouchWorks EHR to display actionable patient information in real-time. Unlike after-the-fact reports that some physicians may receive, the Allscripts CQS places real-time alerts into the physician’s workflow in TouchWorks – such as whether a diabetic patient is overdue for a Hemoglobin A1c test or an at-risk patient is overdue for a flu vaccine.

Further, the Allscripts CQS “Physician Dashboard” displays patient information in an easy-to-read chart, allowing physicians to quickly find and respond to patients who are outside of recommended clinical ranges, such as diabetic patients with high blood pressure or LDL cholesterol levels.

This product has been tested in a very successful pilot in Hawaii and in now in general availability nationwide.
