Aloha! My name is Denise Gasiciel. I’m very excited to join the TeamPraxis EHR team as the Healthcare Programs Consultant. I will assist customers that participate in both national and local payer programs offered through TeamPraxis.
After visiting a couple of times, and absolutely falling in love with the weather, abundance of culture and outdoor activities, the friendly people, and of course the amazing food, I decided to relocate to Hawaii in August.
Most recently I worked as a Regional Account Manager in Chicago, Illinois, for Optum, where my specialty was in contract and payment resolution, and client relations and solutions for the largest health system in Illinois, Advocate Healthcare, and two additional health system providers. I have experience in both the clinical and financial areas of healthcare.
I earned a BS in Health Sciences–Community Health Education and am currently pursuing my Graduate Certificate in Patient Safety, Error Science and Full Disclosure. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant, with additional coursework in Phlebotomy, Clinical Lab Technology, and Medical Terminology.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, volunteering, learning how to paddle board, playing kickball, exploring my new home, trying new restaurants and learning how to cook (recipes and tips for dining and places to explore are always welcome!)
